Some old pictures in my Facebook page

I am posting some of the old pictures that I have taken in recent years. These pictures mainly cover the architectural heritage that the country had in the ester years. Pictures posted here are that of the ancient Qutub Minar which symbolizes the excellence of the Indo-Islamic architecture of the medieval period. I just stood and looked at the top of the minaret through the lenses and got a good view captured, really a beauty of its own kind, I even clicked some of the ruining architecture there. Some of the other pictures that I have posted is that of the ancient creativeness by the Pallava kings in the southern part of India, the Mahabalipuram also known as Mamallapuram during the Pallava dynasty. Mamallapuram covers the various historical monuments of the 7^th and 9^th century and has been clarified as a UNESCO heritage site. The specialty of the monuments at Mahabalipuram is that most of them are rock cut and carved from a single stone.

A new facebook page for my shutter clicks

Today I started a new Facebook page called the Brokenmindz, its the same as my blog name. My passion for photography has been increasing day by day. So, i thought would set up this page and share my shutter clicks with friends and pals. At the moment I have dumped in some of my old collections and categorized it under the banners people, wild life, flowers etc. If you get a change have a look at it. Don’t forget to mark LIKE of you really like the page and the clicks. I am planning for a road trip this weekend and hope to get some more pictures, let’s see how it works. Also planning to get a Canon 1000D (DSLR), at the moment I am using a Sony HD digital camera (12 Mpx). In case you guys have a better suggestion, let me know and It will be of great help. The world will not forget him for selling us a half bitten apple, not the impact it made in revolutionizing the world with innovative technology. Yes it’s the man, the legend, the icon Steve Jobs, Co-founder Apple Corporation. Steve joined heaven today, but has left strong foot prints on earth. His name will be murmured on millions of lips for years and generation to come. The man who made the world his fan with innovative ideas, there by creating a revolution in mobile and computing technology.

Personal computing with Apple II, the iPod or the revolutionizing iPhone, Steve had people of all generation under his control. With the release of the MAC book and the iPad, Steve ensured that he has taken computing and communication technology to a completely different level, what we today call the GenM. Thanks to Steve for his wonderful apples that he left behind for us.

An unforgettable day!

Well, this time around it’s personal again. It was my birthday on 4^th October. I was at work the previous night and being a manager, I had to take some crucial decision which turned to be a complete mess, not because of me though. I had to justice to my work and that’s what I did, this created frustration among others for which I could in no way be accountable for. I decided to quit from my role and old my manager that this is the end, enough is enough. I am waiting on the proceedings and the final decisions on it. The next day that is on my birthday I came in with a heavy heart finding it really difficult to digest the previous night’s incident, but to my surprise it was the whole world with me. Let me tell you what happened.

I got phone calls from all over the world wishing me on my birthday. Emails poured in than ever before. The best thing was one of my friends called me after 7 years to wish me from Spain. There was another call from the director of my previous company telling me that the entire New Jersey is wishing me. Postings on Facebook and tweets on Twitter never ended. Above all towards the end of the entire staff stood by my side wishing me on my birthday with a cake and a cute card, I felt as if I was in cloud nine, a very emotional gesture. I felt proud that I have gained a good name during the last three years at office. This day made me realize the true meaning of friend and the value of friend ship. I dedicate this post to all my friend who made this day a very special one. Thanks everyone for being my friend.

Between, I just turned 31 this October. Still young and going strong.

I am back after a long time…

The last few months were busy, in fact busy to an extent that I was not able to write a small piece on my blog. Ok, no I am here to write something about my personal stuff. Great are those days when you are still a kid doing what strike your mind, the care free attitude in you makes you think bigger every time. Your little innocence, the arrogance, the first love, your best friend are always part of you life. The liberty to live for today with out caring for the next minute is something precious that you would always cherish in your youth.

Time goes by, people start looking at you from different perspective altogether. The man in you is more welcomed that the child in you; Now you are a more responsible Son, a Brother or a Husband than an innocent young boy who wants to live the life the way he wants. They very example that I could think about is my own personal life. From a care free innocent school boy, today I am forced to be a more responsible son who needs to ensure that the family’s commitments are met, the family status is looked up on, live to the expectations of others rather than to one self. Even the smallest decisions that we need to make has impact on others big time.

Hi folks, it’s been some time that I was completely out of blogging. Finally I am back and this time decided to take this seriously. In the era where social media has completely gained control on things, the chances of writing pages have become very scarce. I have decided that I will take some time and write something every week. This week putting some lights on Photography.

Shutter clicks has always been my area of interest and always admired photographers professionalism in clicking the images with perfection and amazing details. I have recently been to Ooty, a hill station in Tamilnadu, got a few chances to explore my photographic ability. I am posting some of my best choices here for you to comment. Also, in the coming months I will be focusing on photography as my main topic of discussion. As usual other topics of interest will be discussed in a timely manner.

The Much Needed Break

I finally got time to key in some personal stuff. Pressure and tension at work was definitely riding on me and I needed a break to rejuvenate my adrenalin. Last week I got a call from my home town in Kerala, and I was invited for a wedding there. My family decided to go for the wedding; I then thought this is the right time to take that “much needed break”. I quickly wrapped up all my tasks at work and dropped in an email to my chief that I am planning for a vacation. Considering the efforts put by me at work over the last few weeks, he granted me a week’s leave. Finally, after 3 years, I got a chance to go to my home town and witness a true Kerala marriage.

I started my trip on a Friday by train; it takes close to 18 hrs of travel and the distance between Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala is 909 Kms. I was enjoying my journey all the way and took some cool photographs from the train. I reach the next day and my cousin was there at the station to receive me. The following day was the wedding and party the same night. After years all members of the family joined together, the bride’s brother arranged for some country booze (which locally is called “Kallu”) which was special and some yummy sea foods to accompany it.

The wedding ceremony went on well and then the following days, I went to my relatives place and also to my house there in Kerala, spent a couple to days in my house; I also had the change of going to some of the ancient and popular temples there. During this visit I took a lot of photographs, however my favorite of the trip; is an old man in his 80’s striking hot iron for his living…hmm “the other side of life”

I reached Chennai today and will resume work from Monday; hope the coming days at work is as smooth and challenging as it has always been.

It’s been sometime that I sat down to write a post, just because I was fully occupied in preparing the sales and marketing report for my company. The Stage is Set – Smart Phone Vs IPhone

Finally the stage is set for a tough match between the major mobile gurus. With Toshiba unveiling the launch of its new TG01 smart phone which could prove a major challenge to popular player like the IPhone.

This super model windows mobile is slim and has a super high resolution. TG01 has a decent display size of 4.1 inches when compared to that of 3.5 inches for the IPhone. In addition; to add to IPhone users envy the TG01 has an 800 X 400 resolution, supports HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The most interesting comparison is that this super model smart phone supports IE 6.0 and Adobe Flash which the Apple’s are badly in need of. As far as storage and memory options are concerned it has a 32 GB expandable memory capacity.

I know it’s too early to boast about the all new Smartphone but a perfect stage is set for a tough competition. This baby is officially being aired at the Mobile World Congress Show in Barcelona. Let’s wait to hear from the experts.
